Week of December 4th

What we have learned and worked on throughout the week...

We are so blessed to have an amazing Assistant Principal!  Kelly Reese is the Elementary Assistant Principal of the year for the state of South Carolina!!

Winter Break Countdown:
We are counting down the days until winter break by opening up a gift of a new holiday book each day!

Sight Words:
Each week we play different games to learn our new sight words.  Our favorite game is the game that we play on Fridays, "fly swatter"!

Social Studies: I can identify the difference between wants and needs.
These past two weeks we have learned the difference between a want and a need.  Here is a picture sort that we did.  Wants went on one side and needs went on the other.  We also learned that sometimes a need can also be a want!

Secret Reader:
Cooper's grandma, Lolly, came to read to our class!  We love the book that she donated!!

Emerson's dad came to read to our class!  We loved the puppet!

Sunni's grandma, Mama Jan, came to read to our class!

Mrs. Corley, from the front office, came to read to our class!

Mrs. Harrington, our school nurse, came to read to our class!

Emerson's mom came to read to our class!

Star Student:
Our "star student" this week was Gray!  We have learned about her love for Paw Patrol, her family and a few of her favorites.  We have enjoyed learning more about Gray this week!
