What We've Been Learning

Shared Reading: I can use my strategies to read texts.
This week we used multiple reading strategies to figure out words that were covered up.  We looked at the pictures, the first letter in the word and thought about what would make sense.  The second day we worked on reading fluently and not sounding like a robot.

Writing Workshop: I can write an informative story..
We finished up our informative writing unit this week.  We celebrated our growth as writers during our writing celebration!

Science: I can observe fungi.
This week we did an experiment to see if we could grow and observe mold on bread.  Each day we observed the bread and recorded our observations.  We also read books about fungi.
